Creative Writing

The Hamilton Public Library offers online writing inspiration. All you need is a library card.

Writing Wednesdays Online if you love to write, a new writing prompt will be posted every Wednesday at 4pm so that you can let your imagination fly. Great practise for Power of the Pen.

Power of the Pen Creative Writing Contest Youth between the ages of 12-18 can submit poetry or short fiction for a chance to win prizes.

Writer-in-eResidence In a time that demands social isolation, our popular program is now offered electronically. Aspiring writers who would like a consultation with Janet about their written work, should email englwir@mcmaster.ca. Janet Rogers is a poet and author of Splitting the Heart, Red Erotic, Unearthed and Peace In Duress, among other titles.
